Description
The triple or trinity celtic knot was thought to be originally a symbol of the mother, maiden and crone a pagan triple-goddess. In christian terms it can symbolise the father, son and holy ghost.
It is simplest possible knot and is a common symbol in decorative architecture, heraldry and jewellery.
On this round pewter flask it can be engraved on the reverse to add extra meaning to the recipient.
